Invalid payment method

Overview 

Shown at Checkout when the chosen gateway isn’t eligible for the order.

Root Cause 

  • Gateway disabled, misconfigured, or restricted by country/currency/order total.
  • Customer changed address/cart so gateway rules no longer apply.

Impact 

  • Customer can’t complete payment with the selected gateway.

How to Fix the Issue 

  1. Enable at least one gateway under WooCommerce → Settings → Payments.
  2. Check gateway restrictions (allowed countries, currencies, min/max order amounts).
  3. Retest with the current cart/address; select an available gateway.

Additional Notes 

  • Some gateways require HTTPS and valid API credentials.
