If the shipping costs returned by Canada Post in your WooCommerce checkout don’t seem to align with the official carrier prices, follow the steps below to verify and resolve the issue.

Before assuming there is a malfunction in the plugin, first make sure the rates are truly different. Canada Post may add surcharges, apply specific rules, or require certain packaging that can increase or reduce the total.

How to compare shipping cost with the Canada Post Calculator:
- Open the tool at: https://www.canadapost-postescanada.ca/cpc/en/tools/find-a-rate.page
- Log in to your Canada Post account.
- Recreate the same shipment as in WooCommerce – use identical package dimensions, weight, origin, destination, and service type.
- Ensure that you are logged in and that the shipment details, particularly the dimensions and weight, match exactly what you have entered in WooCommerce.
Tip: Carrier calculators (including Canada Post) are estimation tools. Minor differences caused by rounding or measurement methods are normal. A variation of about 10–15% is usually acceptable.
