Automating shipping operations is one of the easiest ways to improve the efficiency of an online store. As order volumes grow, tools that reduce manual work related to shipment creation, label generation, and returns processing become increasingly important.

That is why, together with DHL eCommerce Poland, we develop dedicated integrations for three of the most popular e-commerce platforms: WooCommerce, Shopify, and Shoper. Each solution allows merchants to manage shipping processes directly from their store backend, saving time and minimizing the risk of operational errors.

DHL for WooCommerce

Stores running on WooCommerce can take advantage of the free DHL eCommerce Poland integration, enabling both domestic and international shipping management directly from the WooCommerce dashboard.

Key features include:

  • creating shipments and shipping labels based on orders,
  • access to DHL courier services,
  • deliveries to DHL BOX parcel lockers and DHL POP service points,
  • end-to-end shipment management without switching between systems,
  • streamlined returns handling.

For merchants expanding their cross-border operations, the plugin also supports customs clearance processes and provides access to a network of more than 165,000 parcel lockers and pickup points across 22 European countries. This enables convenient deliveries to customers’ preferred out-of-home (OOH) locations.

An additional advantage of the integration is its compatibility with Flexible Shipping, the most popular shipping management solution for WooCommerce. This allows merchants not only to automate fulfillment processes but also to create advanced shipping cost rules tailored to their business requirements.

DHL for Shopify

For Shopify merchants, we have developed the DHL eCommerce (Poland) app, available directly in the Shopify App Store.

The solution is designed for store owners who want to manage shipping operations without leaving the Shopify admin panel.

Key features include:

  • domestic and international shipment creation,
  • support for courier deliveries, DHL BOX parcel lockers, and DHL POP pickup points,
  • automatic shipping label generation,
  • convenient returns management,
  • shipping rate management based on order weight or order value,
  • access to complete shipment history.

As a result, order fulfillment becomes faster, while logistics operations become more predictable, scalable, and easier to manage.

And there’s more to come. By the end of October, the solution will also support the Basic package, giving newly launched online stores access to DHL shipping services directly from Shopify.

DHL for Shoper

The DHL eCommerce (Poland) application for Shoper offers similar capabilities.

Its primary goal is to eliminate time-consuming and repetitive tasks associated with order and shipment processing.

The application enables merchants to:

  • automatically generate shipments and labels,
  • use predefined shipping templates,
  • create return labels in just a few clicks,
  • display an interactive pickup point map during checkout,
  • access the full range of DHL eCommerce Poland services.

By automating multiple operational processes, store owners can dedicate more time to growing their business instead of manually managing logistics workflows.

Like the WooCommerce integration, the Shoper application also supports customs processes and provides access to DHL’s extensive network of pickup points and parcel lockers, helping merchants efficiently fulfil international orders.

Why Do We Develop DHL Solutions?

At Octolize, we have specialized exclusively in e-commerce shipping and logistics for years. Our goal is to create tools that help online retailers fulfill orders faster while gaining better control over shipping costs.

Our collaboration with DHL eCommerce Poland is a natural extension of this mission. It provides merchants with ready-to-use solutions that seamlessly connect sales processes with shipping operations, regardless of the e-commerce platform they use.

All three integrations have been designed to simplify day-to-day operations and provide convenient access to both courier delivery services and DHL’s extensive network of more than 24,000 DHL POP pickup points and DHL BOX parcel lockers.

How Can You Extend the Functionality of DHL Integrations?

DHL integrations primarily focus on automating logistics-related processes such as shipment creation, label generation, and returns management.

However, as an online store grows, merchants often require more advanced shipping cost management capabilities.

For WooCommerce users, these capabilities can be extended with Flexible Shipping PRO, which allows shipping rules to be created based on:

  • product weight,
  • cart value,
  • number of items,
  • product categories,
  • shipping classes,
  • user roles.

For example, a store can offer free shipping above a specified order value, apply different rates for oversized products, or create dedicated shipping conditions for B2B customers.

Combining shipping automation with advanced shipping rules helps support business growth while improving the overall customer experience.

Summary

Whether you run your store on WooCommerce, Shopify, or Shoper, efficient logistics have a direct impact on operational performance and customer satisfaction.

The DHL integrations developed by Octolize help merchants automate day-to-day shipping tasks, streamline returns management, and offer convenient pickup point selection during checkout. Combined with advanced shipping cost management solutions, they create a comprehensive ecosystem that supports the growth of modern e-commerce businesses.
