In this article, I’ll show you how to register a UPS account and grant Client Credentials connection to integrate your UPS account with a WooCommerce store. We’ll start with the very basic things.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nIf you don’t have a UPS account or a UPS Access Key and don\u2019t know how to do it, relax, and let us go through it in this post. If you already have a UPS\u00a0 account configured, you can skip it and just go to Establishing Client Credentials connection<\/strong><\/a> part of this post.<\/p>\n

Registering a UPS profile<\/strong><\/h2>\n

First, go to UPS.com and click the Sign Up<\/strong> link on the top bar.<\/p>\n

You’ll see a sign-up screen. You can enter your own information or use one of your Facebook, Twitter, Google or Amazon accounts.<\/p>\n

Click Sign Up<\/strong> button, and you’ll be redirected to the welcome screen. Finally, check your inbox to confirm your e-mail address and click the verification link.<\/p>\n

\nGreat! You’ve got a UPS profile. Now you can configure it and grant a Client Credentials connection.<\/span><\/p>\n

Establishing Client Credentials connection<\/h2>\n

First, you have to log in. Then go to Developer portal<\/a> and click Add Apps<\/strong> option.<\/p>\n

Select \u201eI want to integrate UPS technology into my business\u201d from \u201eI need API credentials because\u201d field. Below, select your account number from the dropdown. However, if you don\u2019t have one, you need to add it or create new one by choosing the appropriate option. Hit Next.<\/p>\n

Next, you will see Primary Contact form. Fill-in required fields and proceed by clicking Next just below the form.<\/p>\n

This step is very important. You need to define your App Name and select APIs (Add Products section) that your App will get access to. Select:
\n\u2013 Authorization (OAuth),
\n\u2013 Locator,
\n\u2013 Address Validation,
\n\u2013 Rating*.<\/p>\n

*Important: If the \u2018Products Included In This App\u2019 section does not display certain options (e.g., Rating) during app creation, proceed by creating the app. Afterward, edit the created app to manually add the missing products.<\/p>\n

Go to WooCommerce\u00a0\u2192 Settings\u00a0\u2192 Shipping\u00a0<\/strong>\u2192 UPS<\/strong>. To sum up – enter your UPS account credentials.<\/p>\n
